What is Lordsmill Studios?

Lordsmill Studios is a podcast, photography and videography specialised studio located in Chesterfield.

How do I make a booking?

Simply complete the forms within our dedicated webpages to either request for the podcast, or the photography/videography studio. Within the request forms, you will also have the option to add any additional assets to your booking. Once you have completed the form and submitted your booking request, this will be processed by our team, who will aim to have your booking confirmed within 3-5 days. After our team has confirmed your booking, you will then receive an email confirmation with all of the relevant details you will need ahead of your selected session.

Where is the studio based?

The studio is located at 12-14 Lordsmill Street, Chesterfield, S41 7RW. On arrival, you will see a metal gate and a small alley. As you walk through here, our studio is in the back of the grey building.

How long in advance do I need to make a booking?

Bookings may be made up to 72 hours prior to your selected date and time.

What is the cancellation policy?

Please give 48 hours notice for your cancellation to receive a full refund, anything made under this may result in no refund.

What are the open hours?

Standard hours are 9am - 5pm Weekdays.

Bank Holidays may differ these timings.

What are the standard booking rates?

Podcast:

Standard Package = £35 an Hour

Premium Package = £60 an Hour

Photography/Videography: £50 an Hour

What duration can I book the studio for?

The time a client books a studio for is unlimited. We accept full day bookings and multiple day bookings. Please include this in the request form under the 'Additional Requests' section.

Is the studio open on the weekend?

We currently don't offer weekend bookings through our online system however, if you complete our contact form to reach a member of staff we can discuss a case-by-case basis for a weekend booking.

How can I ensure the studio won't be disturbed?

Both studios are in the same area but in seperate rooms. We currently have a do not disturb sign on both doors to ensure there are no distractions. We ask kindly that clients please be respectful of one another when sharing the space.

What facilities are available?

Clients will have access to our amenities such as toilets, kitchen, utilities, appliances all located within the kitchen (located outside, to the right, of the studio door). There are also many places for food or drink outside of the studio, in or around Chesterfield town centre.

What should I do if I damage the provided equipment?

Can I bring my own equipment?

Yes. Clients can bring their own equipment to the studio. Please let us know in advance so we can remove the standard equipment from the studio. You can do so by mentioning this in the 'Additional Requests' box within the booking request forms.

Is there an age limit to use the studios?

Accessibility

There are multiple car parks surrounding the studio within a short distance. Our studio is based at the back of Emprise Group LTD offices and there are a short flight of stairs. This may be a consideration for those who require step-free access.

What should I do if I require an extra SD card on the day?

We can provide you with an SD card however, this will be an additional charge. Please make sure that before your appointment, if you need an extra SD card, to add this to your booking.

Do I get to keep the extra SD card I have purchased?

Is there a limit of people for this studio?

Our studio can accommodate 5 people maximum.

Can I bring branded items with me?

Yes. Please feel free to bring along any branded items.

Photography & Videography

What photography/videography equipment is included?

We have various colours and sizes of back drops including:

  • 1m Green Screen
  • 3m Green Screen
  • 1m Black Screen
  • 3m Black Screen
  • 1m White Screen
  • 3m White Screen

2x Diffuser lights are included with 3 settings of warm, cool, and ?.

We also have a Lightbox for smaller commercial products which includes a white, green, and black sheet.

Image use?

It is standard practice for Lordsmill Studios to keep our website and social media current. Therefore, we may wish to use some of your images for these purposes. However, you can rest assured that your explicit permission will be sought first. Your privacy is of the upmost importance to us, and if you prefer not to have your images used in this manner, that's absolutely acceptable.

Is your studio for commercial or personal shoots?

Our studio can accomodate for both! Whether you are looking to promote your products or it's a family photoshoot, we accept both!

Animals/Pet Rules

Animals and pets are allowed within the studio space. Please include this within the 'Additional Request' section within the request form.
